Atlanta’s Dynamic Duo

A couple of weeks ago I enlisted the help of Project Duo to get some headshots taken for a new ad. Courtney and Zahra eagerly accepted the challenge of making me look like I actually enjoy having my picture taken. I’ve seen their work and knew that if anyone could work a miracle, these two could. I hate being in pictures because I hate the way that my face “squishes” when I smile and I look like I am in {Read More}

Party in Peace North Carolina

In the last 7 days, I’ve made 2 trips to Western North Carolina introducing Elegant Event Sitters, Inc to the awesome wedding vendors and venues in that area.  I was totally intrigued by the desire for eco-friendly weddings in the Asheville area. We strive to be as green as possible by using only homemade laundry detergent, non-toxic art and cleaning supplies as well as an alcohol-free based hand sanitizer. You won’t find paper plates or plastic cups in our inventory.  {Read More}

Lily Pads and Locomotives

This holiday season is off to a super busy start! Cameryn, my 8 year old daughter, and I braved the cold and headed to the North Carolina mountains for the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad’s Polar Express Train Ride. Bryson City, NC is approximately 3 hours north of Atlanta. Cameryn and I opted for the First Class train ride which would cost a family of four about $200. Our ride started with a song and hot cocoa being served in our {Read More}

Interviewed on MyMompreneur.com

Last week, I had the pleasure of being a guest on the Moms Empowering Moms radio show hosted by Holly Suso. It was nice to finally hear the voices of the other mompreneurs that I have been reading about and following online. I learned quite a few things, including that I have absolutely no work/life balance. As a mompreneur, I find myself working all of the time with no schedule. I have been taking calls as late as midnight! Scandalous {Read More}

Wedding Nanny Weekend!

This past weekend I had the pleasure of working with the Ramsey family. They hired me to be the wedding nanny for the most adorable baby boy. The wedding was held at the Pace House in Vinings and planned by the fabulous Ashley Baber. This was the first time that I’ve actually attended the actual events; both parents were in the wedding party and just needed a little help keeping the baby held and supervised. Normally we are tucked away {Read More}

We Just Love Flair Marketing!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Kira Caban of Flair Marketing. When searching for a designer for our new postcards, I kept running into the same thing. Designers kept presenting me with corporate images and templates that just did not reflect the fun side of our business. Kira understood exactly what I wanted. I just told her that I needed the design to be ‘cute’. I was presented with 3 designs that were adorable. The final design has {Read More}
